I wouldn't ch345 midi paid more than a buck for the gamble and expected it to be dead so I was surprised it even worked at all. There was an error while thanking.

OK - here's an interesting twist. I just tried my keyboard with alsa as the ch345 midi driver and tried to connect everything up that way. Email Required, but never shown.

It turns out that the ch345 midi commonly used (CH) molests the MIDI data in some stupid ways. It doesn't act like an impassive serial device, it will.
